Hello! Let us authors introduce ourselves!

Maria Holt:

I am a student at the University of Pittsburgh, but I also have a degree from the University of Kansas. I love tea so much, I wanted to share that love with the world. I came up with Captain Corgi as my way of making the world of tea fun, educational, and accessible.

Charlene Langer:

She is my mom, she might post her occasionally. She used to make stain-glass and taught fine art and art history for 30+ years. She has always encouraged me and has been my anchor. She has helped develop my characters and my plots.

Principessa Faenza la Floof:

 Fae was my Pomeranian. I had her for 10 years, before she passed away in the summer of 2017. We were on our way to the beach, I wanted her to see it, but she never did. Fae did however, venture to an fro with me to Kansas. She even went to a Mensa conference in Ohio. I miss her everyday.

Felix Felicis:

 About a month after Fae passed away, I needed to hear the pitter-patter of doggy foots. So, I was fortunate enough to find Felix. Felix is a Pembroke Welsh Corgi, he was born on June 6th, 2017. His adventures are just starting.

Georgie Thunderpaws:

 George is our family dog. He is a Lab mix and about 8 years old. He is the sweetest dog. He has the patience of a saint.
Look forward to pictures of these critters, and their alter egos in the stories and journal entries of Captain Corgi!

Journal Entry I

Sitting here in the captains quarters, I am reminded of when I became a pirate. It was against my uncle's wishes, actually, it was so far from any idea he ever had... Early December, 2 years after the death of Princess Faenza: Uncle George was sitting calmly in his chair by the fire when the sound of wheels and hooves crunching snow rolled down the drive. Snuffing out his pipe, the embers of the fire glowing in his eyes, "Felix, you have your books?" "Yes. I told Speedy Stevie to take it to the ship, and then he was released of his duties." "Good, good." "Uncle, I... I am going to find her." "Felix, let's not discuss this now. You know to move the ship to another port, keep it safe. It has all of her documents and books." Journal Entry II

It dawned on me that I need to introduce my crew! I think I will start at the beginning... After my Uncle George was taken away to The Isle, I ran from room to room gathering last minute items. When I ran in to the kitchen, Stevie was standing by the dying cook fire chewing on a slice of pumpernickel. And just so you know, I never liked pumpernickel... "Felix!" He shoved the crust in his mouth and ran over, gripping my paw he spoke, "How are you my boy!? I told them to move the ship I did! Its in the new location it is!" Steven Brown was an Australian Blue Heeler. Short red merle fur was slightly sooty from standing near the fire. He was incredibly smart, but always a bit skittish.
