Autobiography

My name is Felix Felicis. I am the captain of a pirate ship, The Shiitake Mushroom. My favorite food is bacon, but my cook has me on a "special" diet, ugh... I also love to collect stuffed animals and my favorite color is a bluish grey, like the sea on the horizon. And I love tea! That is why I decided to chronicle my adventures, to spread my love of tea. OH! And herbs and spices, don't forget those!

How did I become the captain? Well... I guess I will tell you the long story short.

Princess Faenza la Floof, the last of Pomeranian Dynasty, was the benevolent ruler of my home country. She was very social and very well liked. The Queen, who loved to travel, was all set to retire. Princess Faenza commissioned the building of the Shiitake Mushroom for the Queen. However, right before the launch of the ship from its berth, Princess Faenza died suddenly, and the Queen disappeared...

In this power vacuum, the Giers seized control. They wanted to use the expansive navy to trade goods all over the world, but at a premium. My uncle, Lord George, was a close companion to the Queen while she mourned the loss of the Princess. He managed to hijack the Shiitake Mushroom on its maiden voyage. Lord George is getting old and Dom Gier (the son of the current "king" of our country) found my uncle guilty of treason. But before he was taken away he told me where the Siitake was and that I was to take control of it. 

So, that's how I got my ship. Now, I travel the world, stealing from the Giers and learning about tea. I have much better tea than them, and I trade with everyone. The Giers are out to get me, because I have been stealing business right from under their noses.

Journal Entry I

Sitting here in the captains quarters, I am reminded of when I became a pirate. It was against my uncle's wishes, actually, it was so far from any idea he ever had... Early December, 2 years after the death of Princess Faenza: Uncle George was sitting calmly in his chair by the fire when the sound of wheels and hooves crunching snow rolled down the drive. Snuffing out his pipe, the embers of the fire glowing in his eyes, "Felix, you have your books?" "Yes. I told Speedy Stevie to take it to the ship, and then he was released of his duties." "Good, good." "Uncle, I... I am going to find her." "Felix, let's not discuss this now. You know to move the ship to another port, keep it safe. It has all of her documents and books." It dawned on me that I need to introduce my crew! I think I will start at the beginning... After my Uncle George was taken away to The Isle, I ran from room to room gathering last minute items. When I ran in to the kitchen, Stevie was standing by the dying cook fire chewing on a slice of pumpernickel. And just so you know, I never liked pumpernickel... "Felix!" He shoved the crust in his mouth and ran over, gripping my paw he spoke, "How are you my boy!? I told them to move the ship I did! Its in the new location it is!" Steven Brown was an Australian Blue Heeler. Short red merle fur was slightly sooty from standing near the fire. He was incredibly smart, but always a bit skittish.
